Famille-Rose Tea Set
Ripe peaches drawn in famille-rose enamel — 粉彩, the soft-coloured painting prized since the Qing — climbing across white porcelain in blush, coral, and leaf-green. The peach is 寿桃, the old emblem of long life; a tea set painted this way is a quiet wish for the one who drinks from it.
A full table, painted by hand: the lidded gaiwan, the handled teapot, the cup, the fluted tea tray, and a tianqiu vase for the season's first branch — flowers, like tea, belong to the gathering. Each carries faint differences from piece to piece, the maker's signature, not a fault. No two are alike.
