A tianqiu — "heavenly globe" — vase, its round body rising to a slender neck, painted by hand with ripe peaches in famille-rose enamel. The peach is 寿桃, the old wish for long life; the form is one the Qing kilns made for the season's branches.

Made as the flower's place at the tea table, or simply as an object to live with. Holds water for fresh stems; equally at home with a single dried branch. Each painting carries its own faint differences — the maker's hand, not a fault. No two are alike.

Not included — flowers, branches, and styling pieces shown in photographs.

Hand-painted porcelain. Empty and dry after use; wipe with a soft cloth and keep from knocks.
